As well as having one of the greatest TV shows ever produced, perhaps second only to “America’s Next Top Model”, the Doctor Who franchise has recently been enjoying its own episodic adventure games. Previously only available to UK residents, Doctor Who: The Adventure Games are now available via Direct2Drive for the not-as-free-as-in-the-UK price of $4.95.

The games follow the adventures of Matt Smith’s bow-tie wearing –bow-ties are cool– Doctor and his accomplice, Amy Pond, in both of the current episodes: “City of the Daleks” and “Blood of the Cybermen”. Whilst my wish for a David Tennant mod remains unfulfilled (this doesn’t count), the games are still worth a look if you’re a Whovian in possession of some time to kill.
