Music Monday: Video Game Music Choir

So, you may have noticed that there haven’t been any Music Monday: Internet Famous installments in a few weeks. I promise there are more coming, I’ve just been busy and sort of a lazy person. In the meantime, Hans and Brian have picked up the slack in that department. Now I’m being less lazy, but I still don’t have the rest of the interviews transcribed, so here’s a normal Music Monday article to tide you over until next week. (And just so you know, there’s a hint in this week’s article as to whom the next interview might be with.)

I love band and choir arrangements of video game music. That’s why when I discovered the Video Game Music Choir, I had to share it with you guys. According to their YouTube page, the Boston-based choir was started in September 2009 and is “dedicated to the arrangement and performance of well-loved video game music.” Their dulcet tones are generally pretty amazing.

Without further ado, here is a sampling of their mesmerizing renditions of some classic video game scores.

World of Warcraft–VGMC

Pokemon Medley–VGMC

Still Alive–VGMC

Gerudo Valley—VGMC

The Sims “Time to Buy”–VGMC

Giga Bowser (Super Mario Galaxy)–VGMC
