Steam Now Selling Non-Game Software
I was going to make a joke about The Path here, but it turns out that’s been for sale on Steam for a long time now. Who knew?
Anyway, the real news is that Steam now has a software section. The selection is small, but incudes creativity and benchmarking tools.
I don’t recognize most of the names (except 3D Mark), but then again, I use my copy of photoshop to do stuff I probably could have done in MS Paint.
Also worth noting that the first patch of programs are PC only. I’m sure with Valve’s track record of supporting OSX we will see something before too long.
Here’s the list of programs:
- ArtRage Studio Pro
- 3D Coat
- GameMaker: Studio
- 3DMark 11
- 3DMark Vantage
- CameraBag 2
So, anyone picking any of these up?
