EA Aims for Origin to be “Better Version of Steam”
In a recent interview with… I’m sorry. I just can’t.
How about you try being better version of Impulse first guys. Hell, you’re barely better than Games for Windows Live at this point.
I realize PC gamers pretty much universally hated Steam the first few years it was out too, but even those early, glitch versions of Steam that really only served as a patching tool for Half-Life 2 and Counter Strike Source had better functionality than Origin.
Hell, even GOG has a better client than you, and it’s just an optional (hint, hint) download manager with fewer functions than those old “download accelerator” programs from the dial-up days.
You want to be better than Steam? Ok. I want to be the king of Greenland and rule from a golden toilet. Why not? It’s got about the same chance of happening.

Steam’s okay, it does what it needs to. It’s very bland and takes forever to load (which is strange because the interface has nothing to it) but I can’t really fault it.
Damn, son.
It’s completely true, they’re clearly never going to manage it. But still. Damn.
YEAH!
@Wesley – WHAT?….YEAH!!
