Rifftrax Takes on Videogames
See, this is why I want Nukezilla to have a giant budget. Well, other than not having to work two jobs and actually paying the people who contribute here. But really I just want to be able to throw someone else’s money around and get the Rifftrax guys to trash bad game cutscenes. It’s not like they’d have a shortage of them.
Anyway, Joystiq threw AOL’s last $12 their way, and now we have Kevin, Bill, and Mike riffing on scenes from Mega Man 8, Sonic the Hedgehog (the abysmal 360/PS3 one), Final Fantasy X, and Metal Gear Solid 4.
This isn’t Rifftrax’s first take on videogames either. IGN took some of the money News Corp. made off stories gained from hacking murder victims’ phones fair and balanced reporting, and we ended up with this:
Well, at least someone is hiring them to do these. Hopefully they keep doing videogame stuff every once in a while. I can’t stand people taking the characters and dialog in some games so seriously.

When first playing Mega Man 8, I literally couldn’t believe how bad the voice acting in the cutscenes was. It sounded worse than a joke overdub.
