What’s New and What’s Cheap in the UK: Steam Sale Edition

Welcome to this week’s edition of “What’s New and What’s Cheap in the UK”, the weekly post telling you exactly what it says on the tin: what’s new and what’s cheap in Old Blighty. But fear not, international readers: where applicable, prices will also be listed in Euros and USD.

With Christmas almost on us new releases are unsurprisingly lean, with Trine 2 getting a PSN release and Star Wars: The Old Republic hitting PC’s being the releases to round out the year.

On the other side this week’s bargains are overshadowed with that seasonal behemoth that is the Steam Christmas sale, include such great daily deals as the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Bundle for £5.74 and Batman: Arkham City for £19.99 among an unmentionable amount of other deals.

Elsewhere XBLA is also getting on the sales wagon with Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Renegade Ops and Plants vs. Zombies all on sale for 600 MSP, Zavvi has Dark Souls for £19.99 on both 360 and PS3 and the contents of the third Humble Indie Bundle have been added to the fourth, meaning Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, Super Meat Boy, Shank, NightSky HD, Gratuitous Space Battles, Cave Story+, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, VVVVVV, Hammerfight and And Yet It Moves if you pay above the average.

What catches your fancy on either side this week, dear reader?

Because I’m not mad here is a handy guide to the sale as a whole

Normal Sale rules apply, if I game isn’t a daily deal don’t buy it till the last day of the sales

If I’ve missed either a new release or a great cheap deal, please comment and make that information known.
