Afterfall: InSanity Goes Gold

Nicholas Games today announced their new game, Afterfall: InSanity, has gone gold ahead of its PC release this Friday. Inspired by the Fallout series, the Afterfall universe is set in alternate time line from the end of the Second World War leading up to a global nuclear Third World War. The lucky few survived in underground shelters and have been living there for the past 20 years.

InSanity is a survival horror game following Albert Tokaj, a member of the medical team in one of the shelters. Albert treats fellow survivors suffering from a mental condition caused by being locked up for too long underground. Even though the back story is very similar to Fallout, the game seems to be going in a different direction focusing on the psychological effects of being cooped up for so long, with Albert himself questioning his own sanity.

The demo has now been released for you to give the game a try out, and you can check out the latest trailer below. I’ve had a chance to play around with a preview build of the game last weekend. Look out for my impressions post later in the week.
