Music Monday: Killing In The Name Of…God

If you haven’t played The Binding of Isaac yet, I hope what I’m about to show you here, along with this afternoon’s review, will drive you towards it. The game, a side project of Team Meat’s Edmund McMillen, is a wonderful romp that has stolen away plenty of my free time over the past week. But, more on that later this afternoon. Now, as is customary to start of the week, I’m here to talk about the music of The Binding of Isaac in this week’s Music Monday.
Much like the amazing Super Meat Boy before it, BOI comes with music performed by the always stellar Danny Baranowsky. I’ve talked about his work before, so you all know that this game shows off this man’s fantastic work. The soundtrack for the game, which is only $0.99, is worth every penny, and showcases some haunting, ethereal dirges, along with intense battle tunes and even some chiptune stylings. On the album, be sure to check out these songs, along with the tune “In The Beginning…”, which gives you the story from the game’s opening cinematic.
For this Monday, enjoy the music of The Binding of Isaac with “Divine Combat”, “The Binging of Isaac”, and “$4cR1f1c14|_”.
