Third DeathSpank Game Dated for PSN

Back in April, I wrote that Hothead Games hinted that there would be a third DeathSpank game. Not long after, the studio confirmed that a third entry to the series, titled The Baconing and accompanied by this trailer (spoilers in the comments; don’t read them), would be forthcoming. Recently, Hothead Studios confirmed a release date for PSN: August 30.

The Baconing is one of the games included in Sony’s PLAY pre-order program, and will include an extra character (“Roesha: One Bad Mutha”), a static theme, and (for PS+ members) a 20% price drop.

It is worth noting that this is DeathSpank’s first outing since the game’s creator, Ron Gilbert, left Hothead Studios.

While announced for PC, Mac, PSN and XBLA, a release date has only been confirmed for PSN. Worry not, dear readers; that is the version I will be playing, and will, as always, provide you with a colorful review.
