Bulletin:

Counter Strike Getting a Sequel

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is a game. It is part of the Conter Strike series.

It is being developed by Valve and the guys who made Defense Grid: The Awakening.

In the game, terrorist mans and counter-terrorist mans will shoot at each other. There will be bombs and hostages and other terroristy stuff.

Valve hope to release it in “early 2012,” but this is a Valve game, so if it comes out before Independence Day they’ll beat par.

I might have something meaningful to say in a few weeks because it will be at PAX.

Ugly Duck Says:

I do not approve of this, Valve. You’re great guys, but we don’t need another military shooter. Counter Strike was great, CS: Condition Zero added tour of duty and CS: Deleted Scenes added a single player, CS: Source was the big HD remake, the CS:S Beta update added a whole bunch of features and modernised the details. We have enough Counter-Strike.

That being said… I am grudgingly excited for it.
