Spent the weekend being angry. Grr. Being a writer is hard, guys.
Playing Original War on permadeath since we’re talking about old games. I just lost my whole team, reinforcements died, down to six guys, salvaged the russian base and held off a large russian assault. On the offchance that I survive, the losses will have been catastrophic. I love this game.
I’m searching for a spectrum emulator that doesn’t record over the game files when I save. I want me some Custerds Quest and/or Hampstead.
I’m drinking diet Coke and Diet Pepsi this weekend as the coffee in work was drunk by the evil parasites and we went from silky but shit instant to literally tastes akin to shit instant and I can’t bring myself to drink it. Considering being a tea snob.
Other than that, I’m working more long term on Nevertheless filling end-game gaps and hopefully I’ll have a full plan by end of Tuesday. Then I can re-focus on writing and Lisa can get her ass in a position to kill herself. It’s only about a chapter and a half away now.
I also always feel guilty when John refers to us as the cool people because I’ve never really been cool. Or self confident enough to genuinely associate myself with a cool group. I usually end up thinking people hate me for being paranoid. Nukezilla is full of fine people that way that I don’t feel like that.
I made more coffee via the John Kershaw method. When I posted the photo on G+ it was the first time I had black french pressed coffee and it was very good and also very very different. Totally different experience, normally I wolf it down but this time I sipped it, let the taste hang around in my mouth, do a bit of browsing and then have a bit more.
So anyway today I played some Civ 5, I set up git on my linux machine and continued improving my coding skills. I read a bit of Astonishing X-Men Volume 5, not as good as the previous ones.
I’m getting stuff ready for a weekly nuke post and trying to figure out why all the related videos on youtube for this are about the Porsche 944.
How is that coffee so expensive? Is it that one that comes out of a rodent’s arse? Guatemalan Elephant is a great shout though. I tried out making espresso ice lollies, which was a success but they’re deceptively caffeinated which led to my heart feeling a bit weird.
Probably a not so common type of bean and a better production process, also snobbery.
They probably think some person will be…eccentric enough to buy it.

And finally, I’m back into WOW and drinking healthy healthy fruit juice because it’s not too expensive here in the land of happiness and sunshine.
