Capcom Brings Fight Clubs to The UK

Via their community blog, Capcom announced yesterday that it will finally be bringing its fight clubs to the UK. Proper fight clubs this time, not just demo stations in various shopping centres like they did for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

At these free events, attendees will be able to play a selection of Capcom’s fighting games, including the UK debut of Street Fighter X Tekken. Add in free food and alcohol, mix together with some DJs and it’s sounding pretty damn appealing to me.

Starting 7.30pm at the KO Gym in London on 20th August, the fight club will be on tour around the country for the next 12 months. Bristol, Edinburgh, Norwich, Brighton and Liverpool will all be visited at some point, with more specific dates and venues to be confirmed soon. Capcom Europe tweeted earlier that the fight clubs are part of a long term plan and will make it to other cities not mentioned above sooner rather than later.

Producer Yoshinori Ono, who worked on the original Street Fighter games, will be at the London event to sign your merchandise. Also, the first 50 people through the door will receive a special gift.

Due to alcohol being served, the fight clubs are for over 18 year olds only. Sorry kids.
