The Nukezilla Sunday Supplement – July 10th 2011
Every Sunday we’re going to post links to articles we think are interesting from the last week. Sundays are usually very quiet around here, so this seems like the best day to do it. We’re going to link to articles on range of subjects, including videogames, technology, movies, geek culture and much, much more.
Videogames

Xbox Live Indie Games: no way to make a living – Ars Technica. This is an utterly brilliant piece of looking at the realities of publishing games on Microsoft’s Xbox Indie Game platform, highlighting the depressing reality that it’s almost impossible for developers to make any real money from it. Really worth a read.
Technology

The Paperless Cockpit – The New York Times. An interesting post about how pilots are replacing pounds and pounds worth of paper manuals, flight details and other important thing with iPads, bring various benefits to pilots and airlines.
Why yo momma won’t use Google+ (and why that thrills me to no end) Scobalizer.com Google+ launched this week (I just got in this weekend) and while it’s rather impressive, there’s questions about who will use it. Here, Robert Scoble argues that instead of worrying about getting your mum to switch from Facebook us geeks should use it as a haven.
History & Politcs
Murdoch’s Watergate? – Newsweek. The Murdoch hacking scandal exploded this week, culminating today with the shock closure of the News of the World, a 169 year-old newspaper. Here, Carl Bernstein (the journalist behind the Watergate reporting) gives his opinion on the saga.
Science
