Wardrox’s HD Vlog 19th June: The Nukezilla Triforce

A mirror! Why didn’t I think of using a mirror before!

This week’s video blog is me sharing something I’ve been thinking about for a few weeks; what Nukezilla is. There’s a fair amount of waffle in this video blog, but there’s also some awkward moments where I try to choose my words carefully. So that’s exciting.

Peter Silk Says:

Maybe there needs to be a 3rd class of article between Full On Column and Little News Piece which is just like a little 300ish word blip about whatever people want to talk about. Like the other week I wrote a little thing about how the LA Noire overheating story is probably just a non-story but because it was sort of short and quick I didn’t really feel comfortable posting it up on NZ, so it went on tumblr. But it’s the sort of content I feel NZ could have.

Anyway, today I’m about to get out of bed to eat a meal with my family, before heading back up to london to waste the rest of my weekend. Videogames.

Peter Silk Says:

Actually, maybe bulletins are a thing that could be done to opinion pieces too. Might help to humanise the site. Maybe you’re playing a game and you realise you HATE/LOVE that thing in games where blahblah happens, but the point is rather esoteric and not worth putting into full article form, so you do a bulletin-length rant on it instead. Instead of just tweeting about it, or at least as well as.

Athena Says:

^ Those are some not bad ideas.

Nice to see another vlog and to hear what Nukezilla is to you. I look forward to the community blogs and what people will write.

As for what I’m up to, I’ve been busy with walking the dog, watching the baby chicken we have (8 of them!) and reading.

Jajayal Says:

I think the small word blip is a great idea, something I think will give people a good way to get their opinions out but not have the pressure to write a ‘full’ piece.

Most of my day has been spent driving the porcelain bus after a rather good night of drinking. I’ll probably be writing reports and assignments later on today. Very boring.

Gavin Allmond Says:

John you look fat in what you’re wearing.

Irony too.

Gavin Allmond Says:

Where did my avatar go…

Faye Lanks Says:

Gavin doesn’t read nukezilla very often.

The mirror thing was a cool idea but I have an immense urge to learn video editing and flip the image horizonally in the mirrored part to turn it i to a window. Try watching some giant bomb video reviews, Gerstmann and Shoemaker both have good form in front of the camera.

I am gearing up and finalising my ideas for the writtwn word at the moment and making special preparation for use of Kinect and Dance Central and Child of Eden for my days off. We have no shower where I live so it’s not like I can just quickly get not-sweaty. Anyway, TMI, I am still super stoked for prime blogs.

Also, I want to coin the term ‘Moderator anxiety’ where the subject is always paranoid about Spam. But otherwise I’m having fun with it. 3 times this week someone has posted within seconds of me.

Gavin Allmond Says:

I don’t know how to make Gravatar work :(

Gavin Allmond Says:

Never mind, I guess it just had to update itself.

Adushan Govender Says:

What happened to the kitten? The default avatar is a NZ logo? Changes, changes, I’m so old.

Also, quite a few members write long responses and have to summarise their thoughts, so the Cblogs would serve them well.

And I guess I’m downloading Steam things today, free games, hooray!

@Adushan Govender: Default avatar is still the kitten. It better be anyway.
