Ubisofts E3 Presser: Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Far Cry 3, Driver and Rabbids

For me, the biggest news by far out of Ubisoft’s press conference was the announcement of Far Cry 3. I was a huge fan of Far Cry 2 and, before they announced what the game was, did get that familiar tingle when I saw the game being demoed.

For most people though, the gameplay demo of Assassin’s Creed Revelations will have been the really fun part. The game looks… well it looks a lot like Assassin’s Creed really. I’m not too sure what else to say. There was a really pretty CGI trailer leading into it, then gameplay which looks like slick Assassin’s Creed stuff.

Other things we saw:

  • Throughout the press conference we were reminded that Ubisoft is 25 years old. A fine age.
  • There’s a Rabbids game heading for the Kinect. It plays exactly how you think.
  • Rayman: Origins, a qwirky and fun looking platformer/shmup/fun-looking-thing was announced.
  • There’s a new Driver game, Driver: San Francisco, in the works.
  • Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford announced The Furious Four, an Inglourious Basterds inspired co-op WW2 game.
  • There’s more Tom Clancy games being made.
  • Rocksmith is a game which mixes a real guitar with Gutar Hero style graphics to teach you to play.

I’ll be honest; I clicked the title in my RSS because Far Cry 3 and literally nothing else.

Did the camera pan the audience? Did you see me get berated by the Fire Marshall?
