New Professor Layton Game May Finally Be Releasing Outside Japan

It’s been what seems like ages since Professor Layton and the Unwound Future came out (it was actually last September) and at the time, Japan already had the fourth installment (Professor Layton and the Specter’s Flute), but no announcement had been made
While still lacking a formal announcement, the folks over at Siliconera have noted that Level-5 have filed to trademark the name Professor Layton and the Last Specter. It is rumored (and expected, if past history is any indication) that the formal announcement will be given at this year’s E3 in June — in which case (again, if past history is any indication), the game will likely release in August/September in the US and a month later in the UK.
Notably, a trademark has not been filed for London Life, a bonus 100-hour RPG included on the game cartridge, which is unlocked upon completion of the game. Naturally, there has been no announcement regarding its fate outside of the Japanese market.
I eagerly await an official announcement, but if you’ll excuse me, I need to keep trolling the internet for news on the reasons Level-5 convinced me to buy a 3DS.
