New Information on Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
Game Informer has revealed details about Ubisoft’s upcoming sequel of the Assassin’s Creed II sequel, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
Set in 1511, main character Ezio will travel to Constantinople to learn about his ancestor, Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad (the protagonist from the original Assassin’s Creed). Ezio will encounter objects that will help explain the questions left about Altair and his Templar-related discoveries left after Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines.
In addition to Ezio and Altaïr, Revelations still follows modern-day protagonist, Desmond. Desmond finds a sort of “safe mode” inside the Animus, titled the “Black Room”, wherein he can access his previously-lost memories. Ubisoft has neither confirmed nor denied whether Desmond’s cliffhanger ending from Brotherhood will be resolved (though my money’s on “yes”.)
Revelations will also introduce a mixture of real and fictional historical characters, including Suleiman the Magnificent, Manuel Palaeologos, and Sofia Sorto (based off of a painting, Durer’s “Portrait of a Young Venetian Woman”, and Ezio’s love interest).
In addition, Ubisoft has expanded the multiplayer to allow customized characters and the formation of guilds, though the game’s focus is apparently back on the narrative. They have also introduced a new motion-capture technology to the series.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is set to be released this November for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Again, another Day 1 purchase for me. There’s something compelling about AC’s open worlds that I find rivetting, even in AC1, which I’m sure anyone can agree is an achievement in that game.
By cliffhanger ending, Jenny, do you mean the odd bit in the end cut scene, the mumbly bit in the credits, or both?
@Ouched – Both.
