PSPgo Not Quite Dead, in the US at Least

After yesterday’s sad(!) news that Sony’s demonic lovechild that is the PSPgo will not longer be sold or manufactured, it seems that North American folks have a bit of happy(!) news.

Joystiq got a hold of SCEA and asked about the PSPgo’s demise only to be told that while the PSPgo is being discontinued in Europe and Japan, they are “continuing production” in the US.

So for all you lucky(!) Americans, feel free to continue enjoying the world’s great console® for at least a few more months. For the rest of us, we’ll just have to drown our sorrows in baths of various physical medias, forever longing to pay increased download-only software prices. Sigh.

I was blinded by sadness, for that I apologise. Atleast I can now import a PSPgo and enjoy Wipeout all over again.

When you are the only country where the PSPgo is still sold, you are a winner and loser. Go America! We’re the last man standing in a contest no one wants to win..
