GOG Puts Part of My Childhood On Sale For 30% Off

The chaps over at GOG.com have discounted my childhood in the form of a 30% off sale this weekend for Activision’s series of Quest games: namely, the King’s Quest, Space Quest, and Police Quest series.

The eight* seven King’s Quest games are broken into groups of three, while King’s Quest VII and VIII* compose their own bundle. Space Quest has three games in each bundle, while the original Police Quest is combined in one bundle, with the lesser spin-off series Police Quest: SWAT is also in its own bundle. Each bundle costs $6.99 instead of its normal $9.99.

GOG.com specializes in DRM-free copies of older games, designed to play on modern systems. This specific sale ends at midnight on Monday, April 18.

*King’s Quest VIII sucks and should not be counted.

I really enjoyed the part in one Space Quest where you could stick you finger in an electrical socket and get fried. I only played the demo though.

@Stuvning: If you can get past the fact that the game is dated (and, let’s be fair, that can be said for most things), then I would recommend giving the series another go. Especially Space Quest IV; that one was a game-changer in the series.

Plus…you really can’t go wrong with a hero named “Roger Wilco”.
