Aksys Games Holds Sale to Benefit Japan Quake Relief

In response to the growing number of companies holding some sort of earthquake relief sale, Aksys Games has announced that the entirety of proceeds from anything bought in their store will be donated to Japan’s quake relief effort — and many of those items are also on sale.

Some notable sales include tactics RPG Laevatein and first person perspective survival horror game theresia, both on the DS, and BlazBlue for PS3/XBox 360. Many items have added perks such as soundtracks or art books.

Aksys Games is a localization company that translates Japanese games for English-speaking markets. They tend towards anime-style games, with a focus on JRPGs and fighting games. They are perhaps most known for localizing the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series, as well as one of my top ten game recommendations of 2010: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors.

You can check out Aksys’ store here. On a personal note, I cannot recommend 999 enough; it’s still full price, but it’s a great game for a good cause.

The sale ends on March 24th, and it seems that for now, Aksys is only able to fulfill orders that will be shipped to the United States.
