Beyond Good & Evil HD Comes to PSN in May

Move over L.A. Noire. The US PlayStation Blog brings word that Beyond Good & Evil HD will go live on the PlayStation Network in May. The remastered version of Rayman creator Michel Ancel’s 2003 cult classic (and criminally poor retail performer) boasts 1080p visuals and remastered audio.
The post makes no mention of the game’s pricing, but I would expect it will match that of the Xbox 360 version (released earlier this month) at $15 [Ed. - or $10, as the XBLA version was 800 MS Points]. Those who purchase the game inside the first two weeks of release will also receive two free PSN avatars.
Beyond Good & Evil was meant to be a trilogy originally, but after the game’s horrific retail performance, it took Ubisoft five years to show hide or hair of Beyond Good & Evil 2 and since they have, they’ve been completely non-commital. Most suspect the release of BG&E HD is being used to gauge how much real interest there is in the frachise.
That means buy it.

Couldn’t be bothered to run a quick Google before pulling a price out of your ass in regards to the 360 version of the title, huh? Thanks for setting the expectation that the title will be 50% more expensive to your readers, discouraging them even further from making a purchase. I’m sure that will help BG&E sell better this time around.
That’s some quality journalisming there, dude.
Actually the game is only 800 Microsoft points and not $15.
I never really like Beyond Good And Evil, but for the low price it is totally worth it.
