Torchlight Drops On XBLA

Flying a bit under the radar amidst the flurry of blockbuster game releases this month, Runic Games is finally launching their critically acclaimed dungeon crawler Torchlight on Xbox Live Arcade today.

But Runic didn’t just port over the PC version and leave console gamers to fend for themselves with controls not designed for a gamepad. Instead, they completely redesigned the UI and inventory systems to be even more streamlined and easier to use (and the game itself was an improvement over Blizzard’s work in Diablo II), and updated the combat animations.  If you’ve never played the highly-polished, infinitely replayable and moddable PC or Mac versions, you can pick those up too at their new, permanently lowered price of $15 via your favorite distribution method.

I’ve been playing Torchlight since it came out on the PC and am really looking forward to Torchlight 2.

Dan Rosenthal Says:

Yeah, it’s supremely moddable.
