Music Monday: Duckwalk Edition

Welcome to Music Monday, the best way to start off your week! Each week Jon or Jenny will profile a popular videogame-related musician/band to add to your music library.
Sorry, Chuck Berry. Not this week.
When I moved a few years ago, I had to make the (very, very bad) decision to sell my old NES and most of the games to a collector. I did keep a few, and one of them was Capcom’s DuckTales. Recently, I bought a hand-held system that plays old NES games, and despite the fact that the game is actually impossible to beat, I had forgotten just how much I loved the game when I was a child — and how much I still love it today.
I thought I’d do something a little different with this week’s Music Monday. Instead of focusing on the entire soundtrack (which is amazing), I thought I’d focus on remixes of one specific song: The Moon. The song has been reintroduced to this current generation’s gamers outside of the context of actually playing the game (thanks, brentalfloss), but I still remember being seven years old and discovering the song for the first time. Awesome.
For those who don’t know, take a listen to the original:
Catchy, right? Now for the remixes. Today we’ll be listening to “DuckTales Moon Orchestra Mix” by AriesT, “Memories of the Moon” by the8thark, and my personal favorite (so far), “Harden the Duck Up” by ocremix’s norg (which also includes the stage select theme)

A Chuck Berry reference and The Moon in one week? Well done!
@Glassninja: I actually got to see Chuck Berry perform live a few years ago. He’s still got it.
I totally over-thought the title of the post. I was going for a hybrid of “moonwalk” and “DuckTales”, then realized the Chuck Berry angle once I’d done it.
Not a particularly interesting story, but…eh. You’re nice enough to comment every Music Monday; I can only respond in kind. :D
Reciprocation is always appreciated. :)
I’m jealous you saw him live; the guy’s a living legend! Hard to believe he’s still going though, he’s gotta be like 80 by now.
@Glassninja: Go to St. Louis, Missouri; he plays a live show there once a month. I believe he still tours, too; it’s insane. Still rocking at 84.
Though I heard that he might be stopping soon…apparently he’s started to become a bit confused and winded on stage.
It certainly says more about my taste than the quality of these tunes, but I would much rather have the original in my music library than any of the remixes.
@StickHead: Don’t blame you at all. The original is amazing. Remixes of it are a sometimes thing. :)
