Puzzle Agent Sequel Announced, Dated

More love from Telltale Games. In their apparent whirlwind release schedule for the next year (including games based on Jurassic Park, King’s Quest, The Walking Dead and Fables), Telltale has also managed to find time to devote to a sequel to their quirky puzzle game, Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent, to be released late this summer.

The original game — a Professor Layton-esque part of Telltale’s “pilot project” — follows Nelson Tethers, an agent assigned to the Puzzle Research Division branch of the FBI. After a mysterious dream, he finds the phrase “SCOGGINS” scrawled onto his torn crossword puzzle, and after being officially assigned there, finds a town filled with people obsessed with puzzles and progress-hindering gnomes known only as “the Hidden People”.

Nothing is known of the sequel, outside of a summer release date, the fact that Nelson will return to Scoggins, and this teaser trailer.

Additionally, Telltale announced the game’s first installment will be available for download on PlayStation Network sometime this spring. Check out Jon’s review of it.

Fantastic news! I’m still going through Puzzle Agent and it’s certainly clever and funny.
