Be Superman With This Super Kinect Hack
I love a good Kinect hack, especially ones that let you be superman.
University of Amsterdam students have used Microsoft’s motion controller to enable you to fly as the man of steel by simply putting your right arm forward and steering by tilting your body.
It gets really cool when the team added a pair of virtual reality glasses, meaning that it’s all in first-person view. In this mode, if you bring your right hand up to your temple, Kinect senses it and then shoots out laser beam’s from Superman’s eyes. Do the same with your left hand and you get Superman’s ice breath.
You can even lift up entire buildings. This is obviously everything that DC Universe wasn’t.
It’s a great bit of fun, one that hopefully game companies will take some inspiration from. Check out the video below.
