Mass Effect 2 Actress is Leading Lady in The 3rd Birthday

In addition to announcing the game’s North American release date (March 29) Square-Enix has announced Yvonne Strahovski will provide the voice for the title character, Aya Brea in the Parasite Eve sequel, The 3rd Birthday.
Strahovski is perhaps best known for her role as Sarah Walker on NBC’s Chuck, but gamers will perhaps know her best as romanceable companion and Cerberus operative, Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect 2. BioWare even modelled the character after her. On playing Brea, Strahovski said:
“I was immediately interested when Square Enix approached me with the opportunity to play Aya Brea in The 3rd Birthday. I love Aya – she’s strong, driven and ready to take on the world.”
One thing Square-Enix has always done well is finding original actors to voice their characters, rather than constantly gunning for the typical Hollywood/anime dub mainstays. I, for one, quite like Strahovski’s work, so it’ll be interesting to hear her take on the character.
Hopefully it’s even better than birthday cake.

Huh? This isn’t a joke article, this is actually a real thing?
Hmm… well I’ll let you off this time Nukezilla but let’s not make a habit of posting about celebrities as news items.
I thought she looked familiar.
Come on, Ron, let’s stick a little closer to what Nukezilla’s actually about, not this tits for hits nonsense. It’s not the ‘Tak godsdamn it. Unless you’re practicing for Derp that is. in which case, still no.
@Faye Lanks
Nukezilla is Negative Gamer no more. We have editors and we use them. If this wasn’t our style (or too far out) it wouldn’t be up.
eeehhhh I just feel it’s a bit tangential to be posting on voice actors being announced. I mean, isn’t the news here its March 29th release date or awesome special edition rather than who voices the characters?
Well, to be honest, no.
The news here is that Yvonne Strahovski is voicing Aya Brea in The 3rd Birthday. She played Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect 2. I enjoyed that, maybe you did to. Maybe, much like myself, that makes you a bit more interested in The 3rd Birthday.
If not, that’s fine too :)
Fair enough.
I really wish it was cheaper/easier to develop for 360 compared to PSP or Wii, though. I could get more excited by this kind of news then, and there’s the chance the game wouldn’t flop like it will do on PSP (or so I guess, at least in Europe/USA). The state of them at the moment, in my life at least, is that I literally can’t even GIVE them away to my friends. My only PSP purchase this year will be Persona 3 PSP on both PSN and UMD, solely to support ATLUS, because they deserve it.
