Halo: Reach Co-op Mode for Xbox 4G Slim is Still in Limbo

Since we first reported this story back in September we’ve repeatedly contacted Microsoft and Bungie for comment on the status of the Co-op patch for Halo: Reach. Four months later we’re still waiting for our first response, but according to Joystiq the message from Redmond is a consistent insistence the gaming press will be informed when there’s an update on the issue.
Judging from the vitriol in our comments to Sam’s initial breaking news, there are more than a handful of gamers out there who are pissed at being short changed by Microsoft Studios’ flagship title. In the meantime, I’m glad to see both companies have a lot to celebrate when it comes to Reach. I’m sure they’ll fix this before the next map pack release.

Frankly I don’t think Microsoft give a damn about a small percentage of customers wanting to play a small segment of a huge blockbuster title. They could spend the time getting it to work but I think at this stage they would rather just forget about it and expect everyone else to forget about it.
