Fans Unite to Translate Unlocalized Tales of Vesperia

Namco Bandai won’t localize Tales of… games. No one really knows for sure why, but they won’t. The fans will, though.
The team behind the Tales of Graces fan translation intends to tackle the unlocalized PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia next, they recently announced. The project calls for translation of 90,000 lines of text. The team is encouraging fans to volunteer their talents.
Like the as-yet-incomplete Graces translation, the teams attempt at Vesperia will be accessible via a patch released once the project is complete. However, in order to install the patch players will need a hacked PS3 with a firmware of 3.42 or earlier.
I can’t say I think a fan translation is worth hacking your PS3 for, but then again, I’m not a Tales of... fan. Still, it’ll be a venture.

I don’t think this is worth the effort. Yes, Tales of Vesperia has a lot of bonus content on the PS3, but I doubt this is worth spending many hours translating it and hacking your PS3. Like ALL fan translation this will only result in piracy.
“Like ALL fan translation this will only result in piracy.”
It would not need to be fansubbed if the company itself did a gud job besides its Jap Ps3 game its not like a japanese would pirate a fanbsubbed Tales of since they dont need an english version it is for an unreached market besides piracy is a gud thing. demo’s never really cover anything it forces companies to make great games or no one will bother buying original everyone who bashes piracy is closed minded. i always download a pirate game n if i like it i buy it. companies get greedy if there is no balance everyone will fal prey to power hungry companie overcharging their games because they can(you dont have to buy it) everything needs a balance
