DICE Enable Bad Company 2 ‘Operation Hastings’ Map for PS3 and 360 Players to Celebrate New Year

Following the release of the Vietnam expansion pack for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, DICE offered Battlefield: Bad Company 2 players the opportunity to compete in a community challenge for the chance to unlock an extra online multiplayer map for their platform of choice.

‘The Battle for Hastings’ saw players on the three platforms attempt to reach the “magical score of 69 million team actions”, with the platform that reached the target first unlocking the map ‘Operation Hastings’.

It took nine days for PC players to reach the total before PS3 and 360 players could, after which point all PC players of the game as promised had the 5th map in the Vietnam expansion unlocked for them.

To celebrate the New Year however, DICE have unlocked the extra map for players on all three platforms. How nice of them!
