I was never a die-hard Halo fan, but I always enjoyed the series for its simple-yet-entertaining story, its solid multiplayer action and its rich mythology. Reach was the first game to really tap into that mythology, and it’s my favorite entry in the series, both for its necessarily-depressing campaign and for its finely-tuned multiplayer. It really was a great game for Bungie to send the franchise off with, and in my opinion it was one of the better games to come out this year.
Amazon had a half-off sale on the Legendary Edition of the game a few weeks ago, so I jumped on it. This wallpaper demonstrates the level of detail they went into when they made this thing. It really is a fantastic piece of work, and if you have the shelf space it’s worth the $75 it’s been going for lately (don’t drop $150 on it though, that’s just silly).
