Fallout “Nuka Break” Fan Film Trailer Debuts

You may be aware that I’m a huge Fallout fan and love seeing attempts at fan-created content and the like. Well, there’s more potentially interesting stuff in the realms of a fan-made movie, with the trailer for “Nuka Break” being released by indie producers Wayside Creations.

Somebody is out to catch a slave called Scarlet who it seems has been rescued by a “vault dweller” and a ghoul, and from the title it seems they’re searching for Nuka Colas – the carbonated drink of the wasteland. Instead of going for the gritty realism that other Fallout shorts have gone for (see the links to YouTube below) the trailer presents some of the funnier elements of the games and perceptive fans will find lots of little references that’ll make you chuckle.

I’ve emailed Wayside Creations for some further details on their short film and will post something if I hear back. In the meantime, there’s also a collection of Fallout-based films you can watch on YouTube.

Check out the “Nuka Break” trailer.

Jack Frost Says:

Wow, that looks great!

Man, there is so much in Fallout that could be made into other media.

Hell, they could do a series focusing only on what happened in each of the Vaults and they’d have material for a long time.

Seeing the denizens of Vault 92 driven slowly mad by subliminal messaging. Relaxing and breathing deep the blue hallucinogen that left the survivors of Vault 106 insane. Or watching as the genetically altered plants overtake Vault 22…
