Battledrome: McDonald’s Video Game
This week’s Battledrome game is McDonald’s Video Game. It can be played here.
The goal of the game is to support the business through the usual practices such as genetically modifying crops. Destroying villages to make room for more cows. Feeding the cows mashed dalmatian heads and ash instead of grain etc.
It’s advisable to play the tutorial as it’s a surprisingly complex game with many things to worry about at once.
We’ll be measuring how many years and months it takes us to go bankrupt, if you’re good enough to keep he business afloat seemingly indefinitely, just tell us how much money you had after how many years it took you to get bored and declare yourself done.
I’m pretty sure you get fired no matter what, as the game gets harder and harder.

It’s taken me an hour just to get past 2003 without going bankrupt. All those years of Theme Park haven’t paid off. 2008′s the best I’ve managed.
I’m at April 2022 with $20k and am bored enough to stop playing. Fuckin’ environmentalists, though.
Actually scratch that. I went back to it instead of studying for impending exams and got up to July 2035 and $60k.

Think I expanded too quickly; had to corrupt everyone and activate all marketing just to get people in. Not the most sustainable of business strategies.
I can keep it running forever. Got bored at Jan 2133 with $438k after 2 hours playing.
I should be a player hater and scream at you for being a dirty dirty liar, but if you really made it to 2133 then I applaud you good Sir/Madam.
