Desert Bus For Hope Starts Tonight

Who’s ready to watch people drive a bus from Tuscon to Las Vegas all weekend?

That’s right, it’s that time of the year: Desert Bus For Hope begins tonight. For those that don’t know, Desert Bus For Hope is a charity event started a few years ago by an online comedy troupe called LoadingReadyRun. During the event the LRR folks will continuously play the horrid Desert Bus game (in 24 hour shifts) for as long as their paid to do so (you can learn more about Desert Bus here). They can also be paid to do other things while playing, such as reciting poetry, singing Disney songs, and playing the game with their feet. All proceeds go to the Child’s Play charity.

I first heard about Desert Bus through A Life Well Wasted‘s Help episode, and have been eagerly anticipating watching the shenanigans ever since. It’s a great idea, and a great cause to get behind. The group currently has about $4,600 donated, meaning they’ll be playing for 85 hours straight. If you have the time, and a little cash to give away to some needy kids, be sure to check out Desert Bus For Hope this weekend.
