Traveller’s Tales Announce New LEGO Game

Earlier today, it was announced by TT Games and Disney Interactive that LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Videogame was in development by Traveller’s Tales and slated for a May 2011 release to coincide with the upcoming fourth movie installment, On Stranger Tides.

Disney Interactive and TT Games have revealed that LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean will feature the first three films heavily, with moments from the upcoming fourth. According to the referenced Joystiq article, it will feature 70 playable characters from all of the movies — let’s hope that includes the monkey.

Traveller’s Tales’ other upcoming offering, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, is also due for release in 2011, and the rumor of LEGO Lord of the Rings is still going strong.

Excellent.

I dunno what it is, but even though I generally don’t care for the properties they’re using to make them, I play and love ALL of the LEGO games.

Well, except for that Rock Band one…
