Ubisoft Announces North American Prince of Persia HD Releases
Nearly a month after announcing the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy HD compilation blu-ray disc release in Europe, Ubisoft has announced that the North American market will also get the compilation — in the form of PlayStation Network downloads.
The Prince of Persia collection will feature 720p HD visuals and 3D support, according to Ubisoft, and each game will cost $14.99 to download. Sands of Time is currently available for download, while Warrior Within and The Two Thrones will be released in December.
Maybe I’m just old-fashioned, but I would have much rather shelled out $45 for a collection disc rather than digital downloads, but I’ll take what I can get to see the Prince back in action.
Since the game is codefree, you could also import the PAL version which is €35 or £30.
@ParaParaKing: I was actually thinking about that, to be honest, but figured the game would be more expensive than that. Maybe I’ll ask one of the lovely Nukezilla boys over in England to mail me a copy. :) Thanks for the heads-up!
I’d pay double that for a version of Warrior Within without Godsmack.

@Jenny Rouse: Here’s the real question: Does Godsmack see any money from the re-release of Warrior Within? Do they get residuals of any sort? Can you sleep at night knowing that is some way, no matter how small it may be, you’ve put money in the pockets of Sully Erna?

There was also a hint at Splinter Cell HD remake which makes me so excited.
