Telltale’s Back to the Future Behind the Scenes: Part II

Note: No spoilers this time around, unlike yesterday. Still using this opportunity to tell you to see the movies.

I already talked about Part I. Yesterday, in fact. Part II was also launched yesterday, and I’m back with all of your short video summary needs.

Included are soundbites from Dennis Lenart (director of the first episode) and Julian Kwasneski (voice director), who explain that while Michael J. Fox signed off on having his likeness used for the game, he was not available to record dialogue. Instead, the two note, they held a sound-alike casting before settling on AJ LoCascio.

Wait, who?

Apparently AJ’s a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator. Yeah.

And to be fair, based on the included audition .mp3, the guy sounds pretty good. Bob Gale (co-creator of the trilogy) and Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown) contribute their stunned reactions to the sound-alike. The video ends with the promise of a segment sometime next week about building (oh, sorry, “buillding”) the actual game, and another plug for the world premiere trailer on SpikeTV on December 2.

My favorite part: Julian Kwasneski admitting that he has no idea how AJ got into the audition or was able to e-mail an .mp3 around the Telltale offices.

Tune in next week, dear readers.
