Fishing and Space Dancing Next Downloadable Dreamcast Titles

Normally I don’t shriek out in pure joy when I read news stories, but this is different.

I’ve had a soft spot for Space Channel 5 for a long, long time. The amazing talents of both Tetsuya Mizuguchi and Space Michael, coupled with the great character of Ulala, make SC5 my favorite rhythm game of all time.

I sadly never got my hands on the Japanese release of its sequel or it’s U.S. PS2 port due to its extreme rarity. News from Eurogamer says that will change soon.

Sometime in “early 2011″ two more Dreamcast ports will join Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi on Xbox Live and PSN: Space Channel 5: Part 2 and Sega Bass Fishing. The latter I enjoyed in an early demo from Official Dreamcast Magazine (God I miss those demo discs).

No word yet on pricing for either, but whatever it is it’ll be more than reasonable to get your hands on the rarely-seen Part 2. Now I’ve gotta go find my hip waders and orange latex tube top to get ready.
