Telltale Offers Free Back to the Future Episode Download

Awesome enough news: For the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future, the trilogy is being released in a Blu-Ray boxset on October 26.

Even more awesome news: Telltale games got in on it, and is offering the first episode of their five-part series free for download on PC and Mac for anyone who buys the set.

According to a representative at Telltale, the flier included with the boxset (seen here) does not indicate any sort of firm release date (say, like when the Blu-Ray DVDs come out); rather, the code is redeemable whenever Telltale launches the game. There has still been no official announcement as to when that will be; perhaps something will be announced when the original movie returns to theaters for special showings on October 23 and 25 (the date Marty first went back in time).
