Latest Behemoth Dev Blog Reveals PAX Arcade Cabinet

Ah, it’s that time of the year. The time when I get to rub my PAX attendance in the face of those poor souls who won’t be attending. For the first time, I’ll be attending the early September event as a press member, which is huge. As if being press wasn’t reason enough to be extremely excited, The Behemoth just made a post on their dev blog that frankly makes my penis do a crazy, excitable dance.

First, the meat of the post: The Behemoth are still working hard on their PSN port of Castle Crashers. The post goes into pricing, saying that the team wants the game to be as close to $15 as possible in the U.S. Maybe $14.99. Maybe $15.01. Somewhere right around there,” Kelly Revak says in the post. Revak also goes on to discuss The Behemoth’s PAX booth (#3102) and the huge surprise within: A Castle Crashers arcade cabinet!

Using a bevy of round-about questions to herself, Revak confirmed that PAX will have the world’s first CC cab. The design, from mock-ups posted along with the news, looks simple enough. But there’s no word on what the final cab looks like as it’s still being constructed. So along with BattleBlock Theater, The Behemoth’s booth will have what will probably be the biggest draw of PAX. And I get to play it. BOOYAH! Be sure to keep your monitors tuned to Nukezilla for all the PAX coverage I (and my associates Gavin, Dan, Hans, and Brett) can bear to write, and photos of the finished machine.

Gavin Allmond Says:

Fingers crossed that the Airport strike will be done by then. Else I shan’t be attending at all :(

Brett Parsons Says:

No worries, Gavin. I’ll just send off my private jet. Blizzard sent us one for our 10 star review of SCII.
