Meet Your New Communicast Co-hosts

After a long hiatus, the Communicast is returning for season two of tomfoolery and basement dwelling. While I loved the model of having new guests on each week, the logistics of getting 3 or 4 different people each week to commit to a single time was extremely frustrating, and sometimes resulted in us canceling recordings, which I wasn’t too fond of. So, to clean things up, the Communicast now has two permanent co-hosts in addition to me, in addition to having a different guest each week. This way, even if a guest can’t be procured the show will go on.

Who are the new co-hosts you ask? I had a lot of submissions, but I decided on Hawkeyed One aka Kevin, and AgingSkydiver aka Zack, both previous Communicasters. They know their stuff, they keep up to date with news, and they’ve proven themselves to be reliable and punctual. I’ve asked each one of them to write a little about themselves in case you’ve never heard them on the podcast before.

Kevin writes: Hi, all those reading this and who actually care about me. The name’s Hawkeyed One, real name Kevin, aka Murph. I’m attending Champlain College, majoring in videogame design. Mainly, when I’m playing games, I’m playing RPGs like Dragon Age: Origins, adventure games like Psychonauts, or random stuff like the Ace Combat series. To be quite frank, I don’t play shooters because I’m really bad at them. These days I’ve been playing a lot of games from the golden age, mainly because I didn’t grow up then, and want to see what the big deal about these games are. If you want to know, my favorite retro game series is Kirby. Anyway, you’ll be hearing me over the next few weeks, mostly arguing with Aaron and Zack about video games, and sometimes giving insight as I learn more about the basics of videogame design.

Zack writes: Hey everyone, I’m AgingSkydiver aka Zack. I’m currently a student at the University of South Florida, majoring in Psychology and Economics. I mainly play FPSs and RTSs, but I enjoy RPGs from time to time. I’m currently playing Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, and my favorite drug, Peggle. I play games almost exclusively on the PC, but I own an Xbox 360 and play it from time to time. I love reminiscing about the golden days of Infinity Ward before they butchered Call of Duty and the days when Ensemble Studios was still alive and cranking out quality RTSs. I’m glad to be on board the podcast, and looking forward to recording some great stuff.
