[NGR] Apple Disappoints Many With New “Corded” iPhone
Apple yesterday unveiled its latest iPhone model, with the handset featuring a controversial feature: an old-fashioned corded handset.

The iPhone 4
The phone, which Apple called “revolutionary”, “magical” and “almost sexual”, has a two foot cable that connects to a classic base-station which features a button dialling system – just like phones from the previous century.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that the wireless handset had become “too simple” and that being tied to a set location would “bring people back into their homes, away from the dangers of the outdoors.”
Speaking in his keynote, Jobs derided the company’s competitors for creating handsets that were “far too functional” and said that people want “artificial restrictions”.
However, not all have been pleased with the addition, with some US customers suggesting it was simply a fix for AT&T’s endless network problems which plague iPhone users.
Some also questioned the use of the phone for gaming, with a source saying “it sucks”.
The new device has neither a touch-screen nor an accelerometer to control games, instead using “rugged plastic casing” and “high profile, tactile buttons”, forcing a rethink for developers making games.
Apple fans remained irritatingly smug this evening.

That make me laugh a bit. It would be quite funny to see one of these conferences happen where Steve Jobs has completely lost his mind and wheels out something like the an Apple branded Gutenberg printing press.
Though shouldn’t it be NZR now? What’s NegativeGamer?
