The Witcher 2 Details From Namco Event in Spain

In the spirit of having press events right before E3 in territories that aren’t America, Namco had an event in Spain a couple of weeks ago where they talked about The Witcher 2. It’s going to be prettier, sexier, more intuitive and not have fetch quests — yeah, right. Cynicism aside though, I’m actually looking forward to this. I’m currently playing the first one and really enjoying it, so as long as they can capture the same neutrality and having Geralt be as detached as he was in The Witcher, I’ll be happy.

Aside from the wild claims of “best looking RPG to date” and the fact that it will not have fetch quests, not much was shown at the event from what I’ve gathered. If the best-looking RPG claim is true, I really hope they can get more character models in this time. It irritates me that they had to use the same model for so many people in the first game that had relatively important parts in the story.

Hopefully we’ll get more than these screenshots at E3, maybe even another trailer (one just came out in March).
