Red Dead Redemption Getting Free Co-op DLC in June
I’ll be frank. I can’t freaking wait for Red Dead Redemption. As a huge fan of Grand Theft Auto and other games of the same ilk, the thought of riding around the West shooting bandits makes me salivate.
It seems Rockstar is trying even harder to perk my excitement by today announcing that after launch, they will be offering a DLC package that features a brand new co-op game type, for free.
The DLC, which will be released in June, will feature six missions that can be played with up to four friends on both the Xbox and PS3. Titled ‘œThe Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack’, the DLC will include a raid of gold mine (where filling as much gold into a mining cart is the objective), a river rafting mission and an attack on a captured Mexican fort, plus three more unannounced missions. Rockstar have also said that another two paid DLC packs will be released in the summer.
It’s nice seeing a company actually chucking out major features in DLC without charging a ridiculous fee for them. If this was an Activision franchise you can be sure every morsel of content would be doled out for a few thousand points each. Much nicer than say, removing content from the shipped game and then selling you the unlock key, right?
So nice one Rockstar, I can’t wait.

I yay!
I haven’t been this excited for a game since Red Dead Revolver. Hopefully I’m not dissapointed this time.
I’m not normally this giddy, but yeah. I can’t fucking wait.
Best news ever. I can’t wait for this game. A Nukezilla posse is necessary.
