Quid Pro Quo: Gamestop and Amazon offering StarCraft II Beta Access for Pre-Orders

The news broke yesterday that Gamestop customers who pre-order StarCraft II will receive beta access, shortly. Today, I checked my pre-order on Amazon.com (ahem!) and found that the product page now features an identical offer of beta access for all pre-orders. The promotion mentions there will be as long as a 5 -day period after the order is placed before you receive your access code.

This is one Negative Gamer (Nukezilla-ite? I don’t know…) who will be joining the fray in the coming days. Post your Battle.net user names in the forum and the collective NG staff will offer our pride and prime game time to all comers.

Just be forewarned, you will probably win. It’s been at least five years since I’ve played and I couldn’t tell a Zerg rush from a bad case of Vespine gas. Le sigh.
