Adventures in Middle Aged Gaming: But I Don’t Want to Jerk Myself Off

The announcement of Gears of War 3 and a conversation with a younger friend has got Phil feeling a little reflective about relationships, bodily fluids, and console cycles.

Phil, as a big fan of your well written articles, I do not like this format. If you’re not doing another written Adventure, the least you can do is take your top off.

Also before the release of GeoW2, every other article on Bukaku was about Cliffy B. Lets hope they keep it going on 2011.

What a disturbing metaphor o_o

I doubt we’ll see any next-generation consoles for quite some time, simply because of the massive costs. The current generation is also still selling well with plenty of room for price drops for all three consoles.

I personally hope we don’t see any new consoles yet, I have 56 games for my PS3 and 28 for the Wii (though don’t have a Wii of my own) and it still feels like we’re in the first two years of their lifespans, probably because I’ve found most games disappointing. There just doesn’t seem to be many high quality games that really stand out and define this generation.

@darkwhitehair:

thanks, but I don’t think anyone needs to see my bitch tits.

Amazing metaphor.

Great stuff as ever. Well gaming cycles don’t really mean anything to me as long as they don’t ban games all together that is, I can just keep playing. If they release a new set of consoles it just means I’m going to be particularly poor on those months.

Also I have a feeling that all these folks who are desperstly waiting for the next generation of gaming will be sorely disappointed. We will still be stuck in uncanny valley, shooter world and until people start voting with their wallets and buy good games, Actavision and the likes will still keep pumping out the shit.

Oh and sorry for the long post, in fact don’t bother reading it.

This video ones make for a nice change of pace every once in a while.
