Wardrox, She Wrote: DRMed if You do, DRMed if You Don’t
Sorry for the buggy editing, that’s the joys of using Pinnacle products. Sadly there’s nothing I can do. I think I’ve found the limit of this software. Future video’s will probably not be as exciting.
Anyway, let me know what you think about the whole DRM situation.

I like the bits when you look like an angry, floating head.
But yeah, nice video. I’m with the Torchlight thing, though. Great game as well.
DRM is poo-monkeys.
I like most of what you said, except the make-me-pay-for-a-subscription bit. If we’re going to have capitalism, this is how it has to work- When I give you money, that money has x value, and the product or service you are offering had better damn be of equal or greater value to the amount of money I give you.
Very nice use of green-screen. :D
I did some pondering about why DRM is so shit and customers having to pay so much, and the conclusion I came to is that it’s because the customers don’t have many other options. It’s deal with the DRM or pirate it, or don’t play it at all. What needs to happen is to encourage independent developers, make games that don’t have insane(or any) DRM really successful. It would take a long time, potentially shortened if the videogame blogs all agreed to cover games with little-no DRM much more than those that do, making it clear that the big developers that view the costumer as a pile of money don’t have a monopoly. If all this went well then games with insane DRM would sell really badly and those developers would see that they can’t just do whatever they want to their customers.
TL;DR: get rid of perceived monopoly
