Piracy Prevents Sale of Ace Attorney Spin-Off in Benelux Regions
Brizamila, Capcom’s Benelux distributor, have, in an interview with the Dutch edition of NGamer, announced that the much anticipated DS title Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth will not see release in the territory. Citing the R4′s market prominence in mainland Europe, Robin Wolff confirmed rumours of withheld release.
With the rampant piracy of the handheld seen as the biggest factor in decreasing DS software sales, Wolff announced that they could not continue to afford risking money publishing titles that, with the rise of the R4, no longer remained financially viability. He spoke gravely on the future of Capcom releases in Benelux, calling for Nintendo to step in and do something about dwindling retail interest.
DS piracy is undoubtedly rife. However, it’s seldom that a big name like Capcom (though admittedly through an independent publisher), not only feel the brunt of consumer apathy, but pass their loss directly to the happily paying customer. Clamouring for new release, fans will inevitably find a way to play the title anyway through import, or ironically, piracy. But here’s hoping that the retail loss of a recognisable name like Ace Attorney will in someway speak to those otherwise content, without visible reaction, to play for free.

YOUR not YOU’RE!
Its pretty sad. Yet I think pirates would themselves be pretty pissed if their employer, assuming they actually had one, decided not to pay them for the work they had done.
I had a longer comment, but it can be really sumarized as thus.. 9.8 times out of 10, pirates are worthless, amoral dead beats.
@okänd: Wow. That’s embarrassing.
