Microsoft Put Original Xbox DLC Back Online
Chalk a win for the whiny internet, Microsoft have admitted fault put DLC for original Xbox games back up online. When they announced they were stopping the online portion for all original Xbox games, they neglected to mention that they had already taken the DLC for the games offline. This U-turn most notably allows people to play Halo 2 again in time for the grand shut-off date of April 15th (Halo 2 is unplayable online without DLC).
By way of a tweet from Major Nelson (who uses press releases or blogs any more?) with confirmation from Joystiq, it seems the DLC is indeed back online. Why the change in heart? I’m not really sure. There’s no way Microsoft would bother to help people complaining on the internet unless it really was a case of pressing one button. But, if that was true, why on Earth did they take the DLC offline early in the first place?

Sweet, I didn’t even have to whine myself, the internet got the job done all on it’s own!
I need to find my Crimson Skies disc and get the DLC for a potential future LAN party. Never gonna happen, but I’m still gonna get that DLC damn it!
They should just kill Halo 2 and keep everything else going, since it’s the thing holding back the friends list limit.
