Negative Gamer Moves to Community Adverts For The Front Page

Before we moved to the Tecnorati ad network late last year we experimented with Project Wonderful (after getting fed up with crappy Google ads). Whilst successful in making the site look a bit nicer, it didn’t really scale all that well. Ever since moving to the new adverts, I’ve wanted to find some way to integrate back in some PW.

Due to the site’s front page being re-designed to be more of a focal point, I thought that now was a good time to change a few things. For starters it’ll make the front page look better. I’ve removed both of the normal adverts and replaced them with only one, in the header. It also let’s the community support NG, whilst at the same time having a bit of fun.

This is only an experiment and I will probably tinker more over the next few months, but I’m optimistic about it.
