Wardrox VS Halfleft Battledrome Round 4: Mirror’s Edge
By Gavin Allmond on Tuesday, January 26th 2010

The gauntlet is set: The rooftops of The City. This round of the ‘drome takes place in the retina-scarringly white-washed universe of Mirror’s Edge. The time trial mode is the obvious choice as it has a way of comparing times. Unfortunately, the demo of Mirror’s Edge required you to have used a special GameStop pre-order code to have unlocked the time trials. This means this week only those of us who have the full retail version of Mirror’s Edge can take part.
As mentioned in the NGCast, ‘Edge’ is the name of the timetrial (Wardrox accidentally called it a speed-run) we will be running and it can be accessed only after finished the ‘Prologue’ chapter of the story mode (this is right at the start of the game and not very difficult).
Thankfully, the ever kind and loving EA provides an online leaderboard of scores (available here) enabling us to keep track of your slovenly, lethargic ambles. Leave a comment in this post detailing your gamertag and time. Most impressive scores will be commented upon on next week’s NGCast (I’ll also take it as a personal insult if you beat me, meaning I shall have to download your ghost if I can make space on my hard drive).

I can see your current score. I hate you. But I hate you less than I hate myself after playing this game for more than about 3 minutes.
awww would ya look at that? I’m beating Gavin by .14
In yo face!
You’re on your own here, that game annoys the piss out of me
Ahhh crappy ive been doing the Edge speed run! FOOK! Although i did manage to get the top score this week on it! Guess ill have to do the time trial tomorrow.
If this was your idea Gavin, I might need to pummel you. John’s rage is almost reaching the point mine did when I had to review the game.
@Nintendoll, yea sorry my bad, my idea.
But its good to know ive not lost my touch to much, just beaten wardrox by almost a second now.
@OrgunDonor:
whyyyyyyyyyyyy now he’s probably going to play moooooore, haha
Totally his choice of game.
@Nintendoll:
Well they were asking about suggestions, and i had dragged out some of my older games(like Mirrors Edge), and was enjoying it… emphasis on the was. Now im just trying to get achievements while punching myself in the face.
